Wordmark rebalance — 7 variants

The 2026-05-11 amendment locked the V at uppercase cap-height (0.72em) AND enlarged the trailing dot to 0.22em in the same pass. Operator review surfaced a concern that the wordmark now has two heavyweight visual anchors bookending "ecreal" — possibly over-balanced. This page compares the current locked state against five rebalance variants — three pure dot changes, one V-height change in isolation, and one narrower V geometry — at three representative sizes. Pick a variant; I'll lock it in and propagate.

Six variants · grouped by what they change

Current is the baseline. A / E change only the dot (smallest change, V untouched). B / C change V height (with C keeping the original dot for an isolated test). D reshapes the V chevron itself to be narrower — same height, thinner legs, less horizontal mass — keeping the original dot.

OPTION A · DOT REBALANCE
Drop dot back to 0.18em, V stays uppercase
V height  0.72em  (same)
V-e margin -0.13em  (same)
Dot size  0.18em
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

Smallest possible change. Just unwinds the dot half of the amendment. Institutional uppercase V preserved verbatim.

OPTION E · DOT 0.20em
Smaller reduction — dot at 0.20em (split between current 0.22 and A's 0.18)
V height  0.72em  (same)
V-e margin -0.13em  (same)
Dot size  0.20em
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

Intermediate dot. Keeps some of the amendment's "assertive trailing punctuation" intent without going all the way back to 0.18em pre-amendment.

OPTION B · V + DOT REBALANCE
V pulled to 0.66em (below cap-height), dot 0.18em
V height  0.66em
V-e margin -0.11em
Dot size  0.18em
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

Bigger change. V still uppercase but sits below cap-height for softer dominance. Best if A still feels too V-heavy.

OPTION C · V HEIGHT ONLY
Option B's V (0.66em) with the original dot kept at 0.22em
V height  0.66em
V-e margin -0.11em
Dot size  0.22em  (current)
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

Isolates the V-height change — preserves the 2026-05-11 enlarged dot intent. Shows whether shrinking V alone is enough.

OPTION F · V 0.66 + DOT 0.20
Option B's V with intermediate dot — softened on both axes but more conservatively
V height  0.66em
V-e margin -0.11em
Dot size  0.20em
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

B's softer V + E's intermediate dot. Both anchors softened in lockstep — neither dominates after the rebalance.

OPTION D · NARROW V
V chevron reshaped — same height, ~82% width, thinner legs
V height  0.72em  (same)
V geometry NEW PATH
Outer width 36u (was 44u)
Leg thickness 10u (was 12u)
V-e margin -0.13em  (same)
Dot size  0.22em  (current)
Dot margin  calc(0.04em + 2px)

Different kind of change — V path itself is narrower. Steeper angle, thinner legs, less horizontal mass. Most "design-system invasive" of the variants since it modifies the locked V geometry.

Reply with your pick — "Current", "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", or "F". I'll lock the choice in, regenerate the canonical wordmark.svg if needed (D requires a new path; B/C require a new scale factor; A/E just CSS), propagate the new tokens across reference-design-system.html, reference-visual-mockups.html, design-tokens.json, component-library/wordmark.md, the CHANGELOG, vecreal.com landing index.html, and the OG preview, then push so it goes live everywhere in one pass.
