F1 favicon — V geometry + dot placement + size + centering

Operator picked F1 direction (dark tile + clay V+dot, no V overshoot). This round confirms two geometric findings, fixes them, and explores dot-size + composition-centering variants.

Two confirmations

1. The favicon V was a different chevron from the wordmark V. Side-by-side below shows: wordmark V has 12-unit-thick legs (27% of outer width); favicon V has 8-unit-thick legs (22% of outer width). Fix: use wordmark V geometry verbatim, scaled 0.811 to fit the 64×64 tile.

2. The dot was high. Favicon dot at cy=42; V tip at y=49 in current path. The dot's center was ABOVE the V tip — dot bottom barely reached V tip level. In the wordmark, the dot's bottom sits at the same baseline as the V tip. Fix: cy=48 in the new V geometry (= V tip y level), so the dot's middle lines up with where the V's tip lives.

V geometry — wordmark vs current favicon (same size, side-by-side)

Wordmark V — locked spec

The chevron used in the wordmark inline SVG. Thicker legs, slightly wider aspect.

scale  wordmark × 0.811
outer width  36 units
outer height  30 units
inner gap  16 units
leg thickness  10 units each

Current favicon V — non-matching

The chevron currently used in the favicon. Thinner legs, slightly narrower aspect.

scale  original favicon path
outer width  36 units
outer height  31 units
inner gap  20 units
leg thickness  8 units each
REFERENCE · F1 colors, current geom
F1 colors applied to the existing (non-matching) V geometry — for comparison only
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  current (8u legs)
dot  cx=47.5 cy=42 r=6.5

Shows the V/dot misalignment problems even with F1 colors applied.

W1 · WORDMARK V · DOT 6.5 · GROUP CENTER
Wordmark V geometry, dot at V tip baseline, composition centered (current centering approach)
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  wordmark (10u legs)
V x-pos  10 → 46 (comp centered)
dot  cx=47.5 cy=48 r=6.5

Minimal change from operator pick — fixes V geometry and brings dot down to V tip baseline. Composition centered around tile center.

W2 · WORDMARK V · DOT 5.5 · GROUP CENTER
Slightly smaller dot (-15% diameter)
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  wordmark
V x-pos  10 → 46
dot  cx=48.5 cy=48 r=5.5

Dot reads as more "punctuation" than "co-anchor." Tighter composition.

W3 · WORDMARK V · DOT 5.0 · GROUP CENTER
Smaller dot still (-23% diameter from r=6.5)
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  wordmark
V x-pos  10 → 46
dot  cx=49 cy=48 r=5.0

Dot clearly secondary to V. Most "wordmark-like" hierarchy (V dominant, dot small punctuation).

W4 · V CENTERED · DOT 5.0
V dead-centered in tile horizontally; dot floats to the right (asymmetric composition)
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  wordmark
V x-pos  14 → 50 (V centered)
dot  cx=58 cy=48 r=5.0

V is the focal point; dot becomes a small accent. Asymmetric — composition weight shifts right.

W5 · V CENTERED · DOT 4.0
V centered; smallest dot — V truly dominates, dot is a tiny accent
tile  #131517 dark
V+dot  #C68070 clay-bright
V geom  wordmark
V x-pos  14 → 50 (V centered)
dot  cx=57 cy=48 r=4.0

Most "V is the mark, dot is the bookend mark" hierarchy.

Reply with your pick — "W1" through "W5", or "Reference" if F1 with current geometry (no V/dot fixes) is preferred. If picked, propagates to all favicon data URIs across the brand + locks the new geometry in the spec.
