The remaining strategic question. Both options are technically sound; the choice is about what Vecreal means as a brand. Plus one final micro-tune on the favicon dot size.
Both options are technically clean. The question is what voice the wordmark carries before anyone reads a word of copy. Six reasons uppercase wins for Vecreal, in priority order:
Vecreal is written "Vecreal" in body copy, taglines, foundational docs, investor decks, advisor outreach. Every printed instance of the company name uses a capital V. A lowercase wordmark creates a tiny continuous dissonance — every viewer who reads the wordmark and then reads the page registers the mismatch. Uppercase wordmark eliminates this.
The V. monogram is uppercase-coded (a triangular wedge that reads as capital V). Wordmark uppercase = full visual-identity system consistency. Wordmark lowercase = the favicon and the marketing header carry different proportions of the same letter, which is subtle inconsistency for anyone studying the brand mark.
Vecreal's locked tagline is "Institutional Intelligence for General Contractors." The word institutional is doing heavy positioning work — it's what differentiates Vecreal from consumer AI tools, from operational SaaS, from horizontal AI consulting. Lowercase wordmarks belong to the modern-tech-startup tradition (stripe, linear, openai, anthropic). Uppercase belongs to the institutional-professional tradition (Skanska, Bechtel, Foster + Partners, Bloomberg, Palantir). Vecreal's positioning is closer to the second tradition than the first.
Construction GCs name themselves in uppercase: Skanska, Mortenson, Bechtel, Turner, Whiting-Turner, Suffolk, Walsh Construction, Hensel Phelps, McCarthy, DPR Construction. The entire major-GC visual landscape is uppercase. A GC operator reading the Vecreal wordmark with a lowercase v has a small, subconscious "this is not made by people from my world" reaction. Uppercase reads as industry-fluent.
Every other vertical AI company in 2025-26 is using lowercase wordmarks (anthropic, openai, mistral, perplexity, replicate, harvey, sierra). To stand apart in the "we're an AI startup too" deluge, uppercase is the differentiation move. It signals: we're building infrastructure for an industry, not a developer tool.
Lowercase tech wordmarks are coded to a specific era (early-2020s startup aesthetic). They will age as that aesthetic ages. Uppercase wordmarks in the architectural/engineering tradition have been used for 100+ years and read timeless. For a company positioning itself as institutional infrastructure that compounds over decades, timeless matters more than modern.
Lowercase is more approachable, more familiar, more "modern AI." Some buyers will read uppercase as old-school. But Vecreal's operating principles already commit to "calibrated, restrained, premium," not "approachable, friendly, casual." The founder has chosen authority over familiarity in voice. The wordmark should match.

Notice the V case mismatch between mark ("vecreal.") and body ("Vecreal").
Operator request to see r=6.5 alongside r=7 before final lock. D-half maintains the V-shift -4 and dot-cx ~47.5 (decimal cx keeps V+dot group centered at 32). Dot is 1 pixel smaller in diameter — subtle but visible at favicon scale.
